1.  What parking arrangements are available?
Parking is available on a first come, first serve basis. A valid parking pass is issued at the time of check-in and must be displayed at all times. Each guestroom will receive one parking pass for one vehicle. If you need to bring more vehicles than allowed per our guidelines, additional public parking is available for a fee. For more information, you can contact the City of Myrtle Beach parking division at 843.626.7275.
2.  Are there age restrictions to rent a room?
Summer Wind rents to mature adults who are at least 21 years old unless accompanied by a parent or guardian.
3.  I've read some complaints about room condition. Has anything been done about this? As of February ‘2013, Summer Wind Inn & Suites is under new management. In January, a room renovation project began. The furniture, mattresses and some carpeting were replaced in the oceanfront efficiency rooms. While the motel is not new, the staff and management are committed to cleanliness and excellent guest service. In addition to guestoom renovations, the new management company has contracted with a national leading company in commercial pest and extermination services.
4.  What about pets and smoking?
Summer Wind Inn & Suites does not allow pets and all rooms are non smoking.
5.  What is check-in time?
Our arrival time is 3pm for all reservations. We understand that vacation time is valuable, so should you arrive early and your unit be ready, you may be able to check-in early, but this cannot be guaranteed.
6. Does the Motel provide beach supplies such as chairs, umbrellas and towels?
Chairs and umbrellas for use at the beach can be rented from the Lifeguards who are stationed along the beach. There is a fee for these rentals and it does vary by season. You may also purchase chairs/umbrellas from a local retailer, which sometimes can be more affordable. Please bring beach towels for pool and beach use with you, as the Motel does not supply them.
7. What is the cancellation policy?
Should you need to cancel a reservation, it must be cancelled 14 or more days prior to arrival to avoid a cancellation penalty. We regret that we cannot refund for early departures.
